Sum Up!

Well one i should say honestly I never like blogging. Because I am never good at wording and making phrases. Twitter are better than ever; Short and Simple yet it deliver to the viewer a.k.a follower in the community. Discuss before the effect of technology in term of e-book, Social network and the cultural boundaries. Those thing need to be further discuss so in future publishing and media will never face the same issues again. Though there is Act and social legal system it is not as strict as in other country. Malaysia do not band P2P software unlike in US those P2P software already been blocked to decreased unauthorized illegal document downloading.

As much as I don't like blogging, indeed digging down the issues faced nowadays make me more alert on do's and don't

Social Networking & Twitter Creditability

TWITTER
FACEBOOK
MYSPACE
THUMBLER

HOW RELIABLE ARE THEY?

You'll get update every second through your twitter or other social networking. With the use of twitter and social networking, print media and journalist is losing the credibility because those account owned by them self. So what news you want to believe in? I am pretty sure you get news from the owner itself rather than reading the newspaper and read magazine about gossip which we doesn't even know either it's true or not.

Nevertheless, these social networking giving people more opportunity to be closed with the idol and favourite artist. I am not going to deny that social networking development also bring bad impact to certain type of people.

Spread News in seconds with TWEETER

Spread news within seconds to the world with Twitter, Facebook and Myspace. Those social networking at first will benefit people in business world. It benefits them in term of marketing and advertising with low budget. Facebook is one of the faster social networking so far. Based on The Tech Journal, over 44% and 29% people in the world using Facebook and Twitter for social sharing.

Yet as for now, me myself personally love to use twitter for social networking. I get to choose who to follow and who’s not. So the privacy is there. Unlike Facebook, it is more open.

E-book: Convenient & Trendy Up to date

Technology giving human tasks more at eased. With the new invention of e-book make people can just carry hundreds of books in one small gadget call E-book. Up to date, based on Debrah Cornwall in her interview on E-books popularity on the rise, books currently make up between 6 to 7 per cent of the market in the US and Britain, more than half those sales are made within the first 24 hours of a book's release. The sales made through online downloading through e-book itself.

Indeed, piracy through digital e-book is also on the raised. Hackers will used any ways to get the free version of everything. Yet early this year in January, CNN has broadcast news about the same issues. Based from CNN.com Dan Brown's blockbuster novel "The Lost Symbol" hit stores in September, it may have offered a peek at the future of bookselling. Unfortunately,it is reported that in less ess than 24 hours after its release, pirated digital copies of the novel were found on file-sharing sites such as Rapidshare and BitTorrent. In just a blink of eyes, the copy has been downloaded for free more than 100,000 times all over the world.

The mess cause from file sharing software P2P doesn’t effecting top author to gain profit from the book selling through digital also through the book store. What sad is, piracy is unethical and against the law. So it shouldn’t be happening. Ezines Article and Ebook-security make the effort to guide public especially those underground writers to protect their copyright from being spread illegally.

Cartoon That Shock The World

World has been shocked by the caricature published by Danish Newspaper 4 years ago. From article Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy described them as Islamophobic or racist argued that they are blasphemous to people of the Muslim faith, are intended to humiliate a Danish minority, or are a manifestation of ignorance about the history of Western imperialism. In the world of civilisation, Danish should go further research about culture and religious view before publish it to their newspaper and so do to the other 50 countries.

The 12 cartoons were drawn by 12 profesional cartoonist in Denmark. Whereby, most of them are regular political cartoonist for Danish newspapers. Four of the cartoons have Danish texts. One deliberately evades the whole problem, depicting a school child in Denmark named Muhammad, not the prophet Muhammad. One of the cartoons is based on a special Danish cultural expression, and one includes a Danish politician.

In my opinion, Danish might have less knowledge about Islam that makes them decided to sketch Prophet Muhammad caricature since they didn’t even know that is prohibited by Islam itself.

To support with that, Zimmerman and Perkin (1982), designing instructional graphics that must bridge cultural boundaries that made getting into dept into the knowledge, beliefs, and concerns of their audience and used what they learned to select symbols that were meaningful for their intended audiences.

As for this cased, Danish Newspaper neglected cultural boundaries in their publication. Even if it's not based on Islam I could say each and everyone stands up for their religion no matter. So culture and religion studies is a must.
